School

St. George Parish School is a Catholic school for students in pre-school through eighth grade, and since 1921 St. George has been providing excellent education to families in and around the Beacon Hill and Georgetown neighborhoods of Seattle, Washington.

St. George was one of the first Archdiocesan Catholic schools to be accredited. In 1996, we received the full term of accreditation by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and the Western Catholic Education Association. In 2002, we successfully renewed our accreditation for a full six-year term.

School News

The bells at the school are ringing again calling all the St. George families back from their summer vacations!  Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year!

            We are off to a great start, welcoming new teachers and many new families to our community.  The children arrived with great smiles on their faces as they greeted their friends and met their new teachers and classmates.  They were all amazed at the mural on the Miracle Gym and many students learned some history as they asked about the scenes.

            We are very aware that the school is a very important ministry of the parish and we are very grateful for all the support and friendship that we receive from the parishioners.  We look forward to maintaining the almost ninety year-old tradition of fine Catholic education at St. George.  Thank you, thank you for your dedication to our school.

                        Computer room work-party, September 28 after the jog-a-thon.
